Boston block party tomorrow 1:30 – 7:00pm

Boston Gay PrideEach year, following Boston’s Pride Parade, which can only be described as “boring”, the unofficial block party on Chandler Street starts.  One might assume the reason this block party is so awesome has everything to do with the fact that the Boston Pride Committee has nothing to do with it, but whatever the reason if you are in Boston for Pride Weekend check out this party.  This is the best part of Pride week in Boston.

A $15 donation is requested with all proceeds going to The AIDS Action Committee of Massachusetts. The fun starts at 1:30 and concludes at 7:00pm, providing sufficient time for all to go home, sober up and take a quick disco nap.

  1. I think you’re comment, “One might assume the reason this block party is so awesome has everything to do with the fact that the Boston Pride Committee has nothing to do with it” is uncalled for and ignorant. While you’re certainly entitled to your opinions of Pride Week events, the Boston Pride Committee- as a group of people- are volunteers who work their butts off to plan 10 days of events for everyone else to enjoy and I think they deserve some respect and gratitude. Oh and btw, the St. James (formerly Stuart Street) Party on Sunday is w a y better, it’s only $10, and it IS run by Boston Pride!

    • I agree w/ you that the Sunday block party organized by Pride this year was better than the Saturday party, but I stand by my comment in my post. Boston Pride is incredibly boring and disappointing as compared to other city’s Pride Weeks. You can agree or disagree but it won’t change my opinion.

  2. Thought it was terrible this year with the beer problems. will not go next year.

  3. Who is the promoter of the Block Party?

  4. Reblogged this on Sensi Boutique and commented:
