It has been a relaxing week. I’m enjoying the slower pace and spending much of my time like this handsome guy. You reading anything good? Summer reading suggestions are welcome.

I read “Call me by your name” last summer. Breathtaking prose.
Just finished “Sense and Sensibility” (try to read it every few years) and now reading “Charlotte Gray” by Sebastian Faulks. Sun, surf and books are a terrific combination.
Why don’t I ever find readers in their underwear? God he’s cute. Reading American Dervish by Ayad Akhtar, a novel about what it is like to be Muslim and living in a western world. The characters are wonderfully drawn — those who are devout in their faith, those who cling to faith for all the wrong reasons and those who run from it becasue they fear . . .something. I am 3/4 of the way thorugh it and really like it. I can send you my copy when I’m finished if you like.
I’m reading a book on Joan of Arc…I’m fascinated by her and her story!

….Um….
Is it just me, or is this handsome, red-haired guy reading the book upside-down?
I thought it might be a mirrored image, but, then the label on the front of his underwear should be backwards.

John Irving’s In One Person
Hilary Mantel’s Bring Up the Bodies
Madeline Miller’s Song of Achilles
I’ll take the Ginger Man!
Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn. Trust me.
Andrew Aciman: “Call Me By Your Name” – poignant!
