This week’s riddle: You overhear a man talking to a clerk at your hardware store. The clerk says to the customer, “One will cost you 12 cents, ten will cost your 24 cents, and one hundred will cost you 36 cents.” What is the man buying?
It’s something like a ruler or items.
He is buying numbers ’1′,’0′,’0′…each costing 12 cents.
That’s an oldie but a goodie: he’s buying house numbers.
