Today’s lesson: Know what you want

I love topsYou might think that this is obvious, but the reality is many people convince themselves that they really want something only to realize that once they achieve that goal, buy that product, marry that person of their dreams, etc… it isn’t what they want, like, or love.

Take a page out of my friend Jesse’s book and find out what you are really passionate about and love.  Everything else will work itself out – I promise.

  1. You are discouraged easily. Surround yourself with people who lift your soul up, those who speak positively and are always optimistic about the future no matter how bleak the future looks. And never forget that it all starts with you. You’ve gotta start believing in yourself. You may fall ten times, but that is not the end of the journey. Stand up, move on, take a deep breath and look to the future. Encourage yourself and stay positive.

  2. I’ve always thought of myself as being a passionate man especially about painting and drawing. I’d stay up night after night at my easel with brush and canvas or sketching endlessly since I was able to hold a pencil in my hand. I’ve never been to college to study art or design. Quite happy in my world. Now, I’ve met a man I love dearly who loves me back just as much, he encoages me to draw and paint and express myself as I please. I just never think whatever I do is good enough. I doubt myself and my ability t o do anything. I love to cook and once upon a time I wanted tobe a chef. I ttrained to be a hairdresser and loved it. I was good at it but I allowed myself to be talked out of it and for the last 14 years I’ve done office work. I met my partner 4 years ago and we are in love we respect each other and encourage each other to be better men. I find I’m now being made redundant at work in a few months and I don’t know what to do. I don’t fe worthwhile or that I make a contribution to anything or anyone. I don’t believe people when I get compliments. I don’t know how to be ambitious or reach for the stars. I used to know what I wanted but now I don’t
