Amazon goes gay

Amazon KindleWell that might be a bit of an overstatement, but the gay twist that Amazon includes in their new advertisement to promote the Amazon Kindle Paperwhite appropriately entitled “Husbands” is cute and catchy.

    I saw that yesterday and for once, was surprised by a commercial. Good for Amazon for taking an interesting proactive marketing approach, rather than their typical apologetic “we aren’t sure if we want to broadcast that we are kicking retail ass.” The fact they were also real enough to include a gay couple is an added bonus.
