As you know, I tend to let other sites focus on breaking news, but I couldn’t help but laugh when I read this news story about Unicode releasing 230 new symbols. Officially this is referred to as the “pinching hand“, but Twitter had a field day with suggestions for what this might actually be used to represent.
I can only imagine how gay apps like Grindr, Scruff and Growlr might react with this new visual vocabulary. But I can sum it up my feelings with this emoji.
