Ptown’s 2017 Carnival: Gods & Goddesses

2017 Provincetown Carnival Gods & Goddesses: OMG, what will we wear?

100,000 people were expected to come and see Provincetown’s annual carnival parade. This year’s theme Gods & Goddesses had many wearing togas or paying tribute to Greek and Roman Gods but as usual many attendees took liberties with the theme, showing off more than a little creativity.

Below are some wonderful photos taken by my friend and photographer, Kyle Szary. Much thanks to Kyle and to all who posed for a photograph.

  1. Don’t waste your time or take a mortgage out on your house just to have a nice dinner. Its not worth it and last year the parade was stopped do to the unorganization of the whole thing, right in the middle of the parade after it had started. The business take extreme advantage of the visitors due to the captive audience. There’s no where else to eat or drink. Exaples
$3.75 for a coke plus each additional refill. $10 – $15 well drink, $8 for a single beer. $200- $500 for a room. Butter goes up to $9 a pound during summer. $5.00 for dozen eggs. It’s a total ripe off. Been there done that, lived there so speaking from experience.

  3. Wow! This is Temptation Tuesday and Furry Friday combined, yum! Sergio would make a nice Furry Friday inductee ( I can’t think of the right word). You two are so adorable together 🙂
