SpeakEasy Stage presents Allegiance

SpeakEasy Stage Company’s next production, Allegiance, opens Friday, May 4th. The play is inspired by George Takei’s (Mr. Sulu on “Star Trek) childhood experience when his family’s lives were upended, when they and 120,000 other Japanese-Americans were forced to leave their homes following the events at Pearl Harbor in WWII. ALLEGIANCE  follows the family as they fight between duty and defiance, custom and change, family bonds and forbidden loves.
