Boston Book Festival returns Oct 14

Next Saturday, is the city’s Annual Boston Book Festival. The one-day event will takes place in and around the city with most events taking place in and around Copley Square and the Boston Public Library.

The festival’s timing comes after the Boston Public Library announced late last month that it will be the third public library in the United States to join the “books unbanned” initiative, which allows anyone between the ages of 13 and 26 who lives in the United States to obtain a Boston Public Library e-card and check out e-books and digital audiobooks.

The free festival, sponsored by WGBH (open to the public) will bring together poetry, fiction, nonfiction, young adult and kid authors who will participate in readings and discussions, book signings, workshops, and other lively literary events.
