Halloween

HALLOWEEN IN SALEM, MA

Few places embrace Halloween like Salem, MA. For those who have never visited Salem in October, I recommend it, but warn you to expect massive crowds. When I was in my 20s a friend had an apartment overlooking the Salem Common, and I’d go to his annual Halloween party. They remain some of my favorite memories from my late 20s.

Are you planning a visit to Salem? Consider taking the MBTA commuter rail to avoid traffic and dealing with parking. You’ll want to take the Newburyport / Rockport Line. The line’s schedule is here.
