Neil Patrick Harris to host 2012 Tony Awards

NPHNeil Patrick Harris has been asked back for a third time to host the 2012 Tony Awards which will take place on Sunday, June 10, at 8 p.m. on CBS.

I’m not a fan of award shows.  For all the hoopla surrounding the Oscars it never ceases to amaze me how horrible A-list actors are when they are required to perform one-take in front of a live audience.   Compare that with the Tony Awards where all the Broadway stars perform in front of a live audience every night and the contrast is astounding.

Neil Patrick Harris has shown he can dance, sing and drop a funny line with the best in Hollywood and Broadway so I’ll definitely be setting my DVR to record this show and so should you.

    I can’t watch the Oscar’s. I am so embarrassed by and for those poor people who can barely speak an unscripted word. It also pains me to see how far they actually are from my perception of them.
