Prom is a quintessential American right of passage that dominates teen movies and is part of the fabric of American culture. Tonight more than 1,000 Boston area LGBT teens will come to dance and have fun at the nation’s oldest annual (and largest) LGBT Prom.
This tradition which started in 1981 is now held at Boston City Hall to accommodate the crush of teenagers who come to celebrate Prom with other gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender youth in a safe and accepting environment.
