Although it is not officially part of Boston Pride Week, AIDS Action Committee’s AIDS Walk & 5K Run Boston is held the first Sunday of June, coinciding with the first weekend of Boston Pride each year.
This event that raises unrestricted dollars for New England’s largest AIDS Service Organization, The AIDS Action Committee of Massachusetts (AAC), also helps raise awareness and brings Boston’s gay community together. I’ve always associated this event with Boston’s Pride Week and would encourage you to make a donation to AAC or come down to the Hatch Shell to participate in the walk this Sunday.
