Spirit Day is tomorrow, October 17th

GLAADTomorrow is Spirit Day. The day started in 2010 as a way to stand up against bullying and for people to show their support for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) youth. All are encouraged to wear purple; the color in the rainbow flag that symbolizes ‘spirit’.

    Thank you for this, BosGuy. I knew that Spirit Day was coming up, but I became so busy I forgot to look up the date.

    As part of my Spiritual and Magickal Practice, I always wear at least one purple item on a Thursday (today, October 17, 2013, is a Thursday, and today I AM wearing, interestingly enough, three purple items: an Amethyst ring, a purple bracelet that a friend made with parachute cord, and a hooded zippered pullover with orchid-colored sleeves.

    I AM fully ready for Spirit Day!
