Boston Pride announced earlier today that Governor Deval Patrick will be the Grand Marshal at Boston’s 2014 Pride Parade. The late John Mitzel who passed away this past October has been named Honorary Marshal; recognizing his contributions to the Boston LGBT community as the owner of one of the nation’s first LGBT bookstores.
Both men are remarkable individuals who have done much to help enrich, champion and support the local LGBT community. They truly do live this year’s Pride theme: Be Yourself, Change the World.
