The Berklee BeanTown Jazz Festival – Boston’s biggest block party – takes place in the South End Saturday, September 27, from 12 – 6 on Columbus Avenue between Massachusetts Avenue and Burke Street.
The outdoor performances are open to the public and free of charge. This is one of my favorite neighborhood events because the music is always great and the crowd is very friendly.
Prince fans from the 1980s might be happy to know that one of his proteges, Sheila E, is among the many performers playing on the Natixis Stage. You can catch her set at 5PM.
