Earlier this month my coffee maker died and I had a bit of a meltdown.
I started to look at replacements and stumbled upon this French Press. Initially I thought, I love coffee from a French Press, but I’m too clueless in the morning to fuss with the contraption. However, once I threw out my coffee maker I realized how much space it took up in my tiny kitchen and so I thought I’d give the French Press a go. If you are a coffee fiend, and looking to get a new coffee maker, I’d say ditch the filtered coffees and try the French Press. It really doesn’t take much time and it is so much better tasting.

Easy is a matter of taste, I suppose. I bought one for the convenience of making a single cup for myself, but found that it took so long to make that I could run to Starbucks almost as fast.

Totally agree. Next investment is a coffee grinder.

If you like french press, you should try cold brew. You even do cold brew in your french press.

Got my first one for 25 years ago! It still serves me two cups of delicious morning coffee. 😉

I make Cole his coffee in our press every morning. For the past year I’ve been drinking cold-brewed coffee and it’s delicious. It also has almost %70 less acid than hot-brewed coffee. You can use your press to make cold-brewed as well; fill your press with water and grounds, stir, and cover (plastic wrap is fine or you can use your press top if your fridge has enough space), put in the fridge and let sit overnight (12 hours is ideal). Then, in the morning press your coffee as you normally would and it’s done. Trust me Rob, you will love this. All of coffee’s bitter compounds and acid are left out with cold-brewing.
