Weekly religious service attendance by state

Gallup recently released survey results that show slightly more than half (51%) of Utah residents say they attend religious services every week, more than any other state. At the other end of the spectrum is Vermont, where fewer than 1 in 5 (17%) of residents say they attend religious services every week.

Overall the South averaged the highest percentage of people who said they attended religious services every week and the Northeast had the lowest percentage.  You can read the full findings on Gallup’s site here.

  1. Looks strange but RI and SE MA seems to have average attendance. I can tell you from empirical observation though that it’s far lower in RI.
