Nordblom Co. wants to add 200,000 square feet of office space to the garage of its 1000 Washington St. building in the South End.
The Boston Herald reported over the weekend that two developers Nordblom Co and Rubenstein Partners submitted a letter of intent to the Boston Redevelopment Authority to build a 200,000+ square foot office and lobby addition to the parking garage at 321 Harrison Avenue.
The garage is located at the intersection of Herald Street, next to 1000 Washington Street (former Teradyne Building which is currently leased by state agencies). The new office space would result in the loss of some 60 parking spaces in the approximately 300-space garage, which would serve the new project and 1000 Washington.
