Gay for Good Boston

Gay for Good BostonFrom time to time I publish volunteering opportunities from the Boston Chapter of Gay for Good.  G4G, as I like to refer to them, may be the perfect option for you if you’re looking to meet people or would like to volunteer but cannot commit to a particular charity. Each month, Gay For Good Boston selects a different non-profit to donate time for a community service project and they arrange all the logistics. There is no money required and anyone willing to give their time and energy are welcome, but note that most opportunities fill quickly.

If this sounds like a group you would like to learn more about, I encourage you to link here to join the organization. You will receive regular notifications about upcoming volunteering opportunities.

  1. TY for posting about this – if others are so inclined there are two downtown Boston opportunities to help out:

    — Wednesdays is the Supper Club at the Paulist Center – 5 Park Street.(Sponsored by the church.)

    — Fridays is the Friday Night Supper Program at the Arlington Street Church – the church is helpful with below market rents – but the program is not part of their direct outreach – although you will see many of their members prepping, cooking, serving and cleaning. The program is a separate 501(c)3 charity from the church.

At either or both you can volunteer early afternoon and create meals – you can be there as guests are welcomed (everyone needs a hello and a hug,) you can serve the meals (and coffee – lots of coffee) and you can do the very sexy thing called cleaning up!
