Spotlight: Boston’s Hispanic Black Gay Coalition (HBGC)

hispanic gay black coalition, gay bostonAre you a gay man of color looking to meet people and make friends? I wanted to let you know about a wonderful group here in Boston called the Hispanic Black Gay Coalition (HBGC).

Check out HBGC’s Gala this week on Wednesday, Nov. 1

The HBGC is one of few non-profit organizations in Boston dedicated to the unique and complex needs of the Black, Latinx, and POC (People of Color) LGBTQ community. Founded in 2009, they work to inspire and empower Latinx and Black LGBTQ individuals to improve their livelihood through activism, education, community outreach, and counseling.

Later this week the group will also be hosting their annual gala at the Oberon Theater just outside of Harvard Square.  This event offers newcomers an opportunity to see this organization as it comes together to celebrate.
