What to do this weekend

There is a lot to look forward to this weekend so make sure you get out. A few programs that I’d like to give a shout out to consider if you’ve not already made plans include: FREE Museum Day, Phantom Gourmet Food Festival and  Fluff Fesitval are on Saturday,  St. John the Baptist Greek Food Festival and SoWa Open Studios (both on Saturday and Sunday).

Drag Darling Paige Turner comes to Boston’s Club Cafe on Friday night

Dueling Drag Divas are back this summer at Mainestreet in Ogunquit performing each Friday and Saturday at 9:30PM (Tix required)

Casual Fridays is a weekly dance party with no cover featuring DJ Begbick at the Alley Bar in DTX

H E R O E S 80s new wave and punk music plays at Sonia near Central Square on Friday night in Cambridge

Anthem Fridays is the weekly dance party hosted by DJ Stevie Psyclone (no cover before 11PM) at Club Cafe every Friday

Groove (NEW gay night) is a new monthly gay disco party that takes place the 3rd Friday of the month at Blend in Dorchester

FREE Museum Day participating museums in Boston (and around the country) are open to the public and free on Saturday

St. John the Baptist Greek Food Festival check out this biannual tradition at St. John’s on Union Park Street on Saturday and Sunday the food is ridiculously delicious

SoWa Open Studios returns to the SoWa neighborhood all day Saturday and Sunday visit working artist studios to see them perfecting their artistry and to buy hand crafted and original pieces of work

Phantom Gourmet Food Festival returns on Saturday from 12-4PM over by Fenway Park in Boston

Beacon Hill History Through the LGBTQ Lens The History Project and Historic New England present a walking tour of LGBTQ history on Beacon Hill on Saturday starting at 1PM in Boston

13th Annual Fluff Fesitval is this Saturday from 3PM – 7PM in Union Square (where Fluff was invented) in Somerville

PROUD to Play is a fun day of games and socialization for the Boston Area LGBTQ Sports Leagues at Cathedral Station Saturday from 3PM – 8PM

Queer Board Game Night is this Saturday at the Trident Booksellers & Cafe on Newbury Street from 6-9PM in Boston

Video Night Tracks every Saturday night join VJ Ryan Grow at Cathedral Station starting at 9:30PM

Grunt is a weekly dance party with no cover for burly men and their admirers, starting at 10PM at the Alley Bar in DTX

Mayhem Saturdays is at Blend with DJ Andrea at Blend in Dorchester

UNITE Saturdays is a weekly dance party at Club Cafe with DJ Susan Esthera (no cover before 11PM) in Boston

SoWa Open Market SoWa Open Market is now open every Sunday from 10AM – 4PM through the end of October in Boston

Open Charles Street in Beacon Hill will be a pedestrian only walkway on Sunday from 11AM-5PM in Boston
