Vintage gay

I love this photograph which (like last week’s post) I believe dates back to the late 19th century. Can anyone glean any details from the clothes they are wearing or the furniture in the lower left of the photograph?

    This is a picture by Ludwig Angerer (1827-1879), an Austrian photographer. There is no date on the back of the picture. Both this picture and the back are posted on a Flickr site https://www.flickr.com/photos/23912178@N08/7495974558
