Are they friends or more? I’m guessing this was taken in the 1980s based on hairstyles and what looks like mid-80s Gap clothing. When do you think these two handsome men were photographed?

No, those don’t look exactly like 1980s hairstyles to me. I think that one on the left is a hairstyle from the late 1950s. I’m guessing this photo was taken between 1955 and 1962. The clothes they are wearing also look like the beginnings of teen leisure wear first t marketed in the USA in the 2nd half of the 1950s. Those are not exactly Gap styles {although similar styles were revisited to some degree later}.

These fellows are probably brothers: the wide foreheads, brow line, nose, distance between nose and lips, full lips, and jawline. Most importantly is the ears, a major identifying mark. The same shape, with partially-detached lobes. They’re practically interchangeable.
The went to the GAP store together in the late 80s.
