Contrary to rumors that suggest otherwise, The East Berkeley Neighborhood Association (EBNA) emailed members the following earlier this evening.
Zoning Board of Appeal – Tues, October 31
The proposed cannabis dispensary at the current Cathedral Station location was approved by the Boston Cannabis Board and will go before the city’s Zoning Board of Appeal next week, Tues, October 31. This proposal has been on the agenda for the Board of Appeal several times this past year, only to be removed/postponed. It is now on the agenda for the Board’s meeting next week.
Please also note – Despite rumors over the past few weeks, the proponent has not withdrawn their application, but is proceeding with the process.

99,%of anyone you speak to is against a dispensary in this location. Now the company seeking to do this wants to be approved for a outdoor/indoor smoking cafe!! Seriously? Who wants marijuana smoke wafting across the little league field, town park, children dance studio and High School?? If the zoning board approves this they should be forced to resign, for they clearly are not representative of the people they are appointed to serve.
This is the height of arrogance. That a company thinks it can skirt around the clear will of the people of this neighborhood

The headline is premature. Appearing before the Zoning Board of Appeals is the next step in the process. It is not the final approval.
