Hurricane Arthur is suppose to wreck havoc with New England this afternoon so celebrations in Boston were moved up by a day and held last night. Cape Cod and many coastal towns here have opted to hold their 4th of July celebrations on Saturday. So all those guys in Provincetown and Ogunquit are either hunkered down in their house or at a nearby bar. Grindr and Scruff must be going cuckoo.
Many companies in the US are closing this afternoon ahead of our Independence holiday that is officially on July 4th. For the past four years we have celebrated the holiday down in Provincetown but this year we have opted to stay home and enjoy the holiday at home in Boston. We’ll stay far away from the craziness at the Hatch Shell but look forward to the celebrations and cook outs here at home.

For many Americans this Monday isn’t quite so blue. I hope you can spend your Monday morning relaxing and enjoying your day rather than rushing around trying to get to work.
