Apologies to my non-US readership, but I need to digress into a quick political rant which requires a degree of familiarity with some of the more colorful characters currently running for the Republican Presidential nomination.
I am absolutely convinced that the Republican Party is engaged in some sort of race to try and “out-dumb” each other. Signs like the one above have always been on display at every political rally you can imagine. The problem is the Republican Party is now starting to resemble these signs. Leading candidates seem to be bending over backwards to appeal to a growing minority of ultra conservatives who refer to themselves as the “Tea Party”. These candidates are barely intelligible and increasingly staking scarier political ground in an attempt to out-do each other. Disagree with me? I dare you to refudiate me.

Oh, I’m quite aware of the origin of the word “Refudiate”… its why I used it. Its meant to be ironic.

Refudiate? Really, I wish you wouldn’t stoop so low, even in jest. (If you don’t know what I’m talking about check the word in Google; it doesn’t exist, but it has a colorful origin.)

They stoop to their lowest common denominator in hopes of coming across as an ‘every man’. An every man with a few million dollars more than the people they are courting. And for some reason these asswipe voters get sucked into the game.
Of course, as the signs (and their logic) tell us, they ain’t the sharpest tools in the shed.

I still refuse to call it what you did. Instead I much prefer the term Tea Baggers. I love calling someone with those attitudes a Tea Bagger. When they start whining that it’s sexual innuendo I remind them it was the name their brethren had chosen for the group in its early days, before anyone had the temerity to look it up in the Urban Dictionary.
I call it the Pissing on Tea Bagger corn flakes routine. It’s great fun.
