Here is this week’s brain teaser. Apparently it is quite well known so you may have heard of this one before. I struggled with this all week and never figured it out but many of you are far smarter than me and you may figure it out.

There is a man who lives on the top floor of a very tall building. Everyday he gets the elevator down to the ground floor to leave the building to go to work. Upon returning from work though, he can only travel half way up in the lift and has to walk the rest of the way unless it’s raining! Why?

I would take an umbrella every day just to reach all the buttons in the lift

Because the man is short and cant reach the top buttons unless he has his unbrella on the days it is raining. On the sunny days he can only reach the button for the floor half way up

He’s too short to reach the top floor button unless it’s rainy-he has an umbrella to reach the button.
