“I want minimum information given with maximum politeness.”
A friend was recently commented on the lack of “class” exhibited by everyone (present company included – I’m not one to cast aspersions) and it got me to thinking this world could use a few more Jackie O’s.
Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis may have died nearly a decade ago twenty years ago but she is still missed. Well that is how I feel anyway.

a decade ago? My friend Mitchell died in ’95 and we had visited her gravesite. She must have passed almost twenty (!) years ago.

Yikes… you are the first to catch that. I should have said two decades ago! I will admit that I’m bad at math but this may be a new low for me.

That’s manners, I’m sure most of us queens have manors even if just an efficiency, Snark on…..

I agree with WranglerMan – people have no manors.

We become complacent about people and life, and selfish in so many ways. We have formed a “we” or “me” norm in life and we lack a community spirit….I for one would like to change for the best!

There is a complete lack of civility today that infects all aspects of life. It exhibits itself not only in politics, popular culture, and economic interests. Our interactions with everyone around us reflect a selfish norm that has taken root. Just today, I cut someone off whilst driving. How many times do I talk loudly on my cell phone without consideration to those in the vicinity? And then a tragedy occurs, and we witness the kindness of strangers, the acts of bravery, and the coming together of the community. Yes, selfishness abounds, but at heart we are and know better.
