The Rowes Wharf Sea Grille at Boston Harbor Hotel hosts a summer movie series called Music & Movie Fridays (in past years called “Movies by Moonlight”). An outdoor screen is set up on the side of the large gazebo so restaurant patrons and pedestrians can watch a classic movie along Boston’s waterfront. Similar to the Free Friday Flicks hosted at the Hatch Shell – these movies are open to the public, but unlike the shows at the Hatch Shell this attracts fewer children.

Here’s hoping that there’ll be a Movies by Moonlight here in Boston, MA, at the harbor hotel, this summer, of 2024. When will the list be posted, if there is one. Here’s hoping that the old, original 1961 film version of West Side Story will be included in this year’s list of Movies by Moonlight here in Boston, if it takes place this year.
