Two years after Massachusetts residents overwhelmingly voted in favor to legalize medicinal marijuana for sale State health officials have finally approved Boston’s first medical marijuana dispensary.Patriot Care Corp will operate the city’s first (and to date only) medical marijuana dispensary near Downtown Crossing at 21 Milk Street. In addition to the Boston location, the state has conditionally approved 15 applicants across the state. However, these dispensaries still must pass inspection and win local zoning approval before they can begin growing and selling marijuana so barriers remain but this remains a significant milestone nonetheless.
