Godfrey Hotel Boston to open in DTX this fall

Godfrey Hotel BostonThe Godfrey Hotel is set to open in Boston later this fall after a $23 million renovation of the dilapidated Blake and adjoining Amory Building (built in 1904 / 1908 respectively).  The new hotel at 505 Washington Street is sandwiched between the up and coming DTX neighborhood and the lively Theater District. The building’s ground floor will be home to a George Howell Coffee shop and the adjacent six-story Amory building will house a restaurant that is yet to be named.

Gay travelers will be happy to know that the hotel is steps from theaters, restaurants, and parks.  It is also a quick ride to the the BHC high speed Provincetown fast ferry and close to several gay / gay friendly bars.

The “lifestyle” hotel will be Boston’s newest independent property and will feature 242 guest rooms.  As the fall approaches look for more information about this new hotel property.  You can also visit their website at godfreyhotelboston.com.
