12,000+ millionaires call Boston home

According to a recent article in The Boston Courant, more than 12,000 millionaires call Boston home.  The Back Bay and South End seem to be the preferred neighborhoods for these wealthy residents, accounting for more than half of all the city’s millionaires. These two neighborhoods also saw the fastest growth in numbers of new millionaire residents. With luxury developments springing up through out Boston this number is expected to grow.  Just consider the impact of two developments like the Millennium Tower and new Four Seasons Hotel & Residences, which will add 600+ more million dollar properties in the next 12-18 months.
