I’m afraid that the definition and examples of effect and affect are exactly backwards. Effect has to do with causation. “The results of your exam will effect your school…” (not affect). Affect has to do with feeling and character. You could say “the bad road accident had a bad effect on her” (causation) Or you could say, “the bad road accident created a bad affect in her personality.” (feeling and character).
