Real estate professionals are going to find Governing’s analysis of the impact and degree to which neighborhoods have gentrified in the nation’s 50 largest cities to be fascinating. The finding that jumped out to me was, that gentrification greatly accelerated in several cities but not everywhere.
For those who think ‘gentrification’ is a dirty word, you may be pleased to note that while six neighborhoods (J.P., Fenway, East Boston, South Boston, Dorchester, and the South End) were identified, the impact is not as noticeable as it is in other cities.
