Each Friday morning I post a riddle to get you to think outside the box and exercise your brain. If you are stumped, share it with a friend or colleague and see if you can figure out the answer together.
I’ll confirm answers in the afternoon so don’t worry if you don’t see your comment posted right away. I want to give everyone a chance to guess.
This week’s riddle:
A man is found murdered on Sunday morning. When the police arrive they question the wife and staff and are provided the following alibis:
The wife says she was sleeping
The butler says he was cleaning the closet
The gardener was picking vegetables
The maid was getting the mail
The cook was preparing breakfast
Immediately after collecting the alibis the police arrested the murderer. Who did it and how did the police know?

The maid of course. However there would be some MALE being gotten if that cop in the pic showed up. I’d let him interview me all he wanted and then some

The maid could not be getting mail delivered on a Sunday. (Unless it was one of those Amazon-promised Sunday deliveries through the USPS.)
