For a tiny city, Boston hosts a very large 4th of July celebration that is free and open to the public. There have been some broadcasting changes this year so for more information on how to stream or watch the concert on TV or for where to tune in on the radio link here.
If you are curious about what time everything happens, I’ve included the calendar below for you. This information is also available on the Pops event website in the link I’ve included at the end of this post.
- The gates opened at 9AM so you can head over if you like to claim a patch of grass to call your own and settle in.
- The concert starts at 8PM
- Fireworks start at 10:30PM
- The 2017 Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular ends at 11PM
This year’s list of entertainers accompanying Maestro Keith Lockhart and The Boston Pops on stage includes (from left to right) Melissa Etheridge, Andy Grammer as well as Tony Award-winners Brian Stokes Mitchell (Kiss Me Kate) and Leslie Odom Jr. (Hamilton).
