This week I have a photo of Pierre et Gilles, Pierre Commoy and Gilles Blanchard, French artists and romantic partners. The photo which may have come from a photo booth likely dates back to the 1980s, which many readers of this blog may protest being referred to as “vintage”. The creative duo first met back in Paris in 1976 and have been producing work together ever since.
I dedicate this weekly post, featuring vintage gay photographs, to the men and women who lived in a more critical time where being true to yourself and loving who you want wasn’t always an option and came at a great price. Do you have a photo you would like to share? Email me at bosguymail@gmail.com.

wow this is the first time I see them as young men !!

It’s weird, but I don’t think of the seventies as vintage but the eighties seem to be. Maybe because I was raising babies in the eighties and they will be forty-one and forty next year. Yep, old kids will make any decade seem vintage. Sorry for rambling, again 🙂
