The Las Vegas-based airline, Allegiant Air has announced plans to add 44 nonstop routes, including several seasonal routes to Boston starting later this spring that include:
- Grand Rapids, MI. at Gerald R. Ford Airport, beginning May 7
- Asheville, N.C., at Asheville Regional Airport, beginning May 8
- Knoxville, TN., at McGhee Tyson Airport, beginning May 8
- Destin/Ft. Walton Beach, FL., at Destin-Fort Walton Beach Airport, beginning May 14
To celebrate the largest expansion in the airline’s history, the company is offering one-way fares on the new routes as low as $33.
The new nonstop routes will operate twice weekly, according to the airline.
Wasn’t this airline named as most unsafe in the US?

I’m not aware of any safety issues. It certainly wasn’t referenced in the article in the paper, but I would think for people who have family in those cities it would be something they may want to consider.
