Each Friday morning I post a riddle to get you to think outside the box and exercise your brain. If you are stumped, share it with a friend or colleague and see if you can figure out the answer together.
Leave your answer in the comment section. I’ll approve responses later in the day to give people a chance to respond without seeing any spoilers.

Third is the only word here that does not end in “th”. In another sense, the third person in a relationship is a threeway. Four or more is an orgy.

I could go two ways with this: Third, because it’s the only one that doesn’t end in th or Seventh, because it’s the only one that’s two syllables.

Fourth is the only word in the list that does not share vowels with any other. Seventh is the only word with two syllables. Eighth is the only word with four consonants in a row. Third does not use ‘th’ to end a root number sound. That pattern would be ‘threeth’.
So I really don’t know the answer.
