Vintage gay

What a handsome couple. I love the intimacy captured as the two share a moment. I think the guy on the right has a knit tie which I believe were in fashion in the 1950s and happens to be when I think this photo may have been taken. Anyone able to date the photo based on their appearance?

I dedicate this weekly post, featuring vintage gay photographs, to the men and women who lived in a more critical time where being true to yourself and loving who you want wasn’t always an option and came at a great price. Do you have a photo you would like to share? Email me at bosguymail@gmail.com.

  2. From the hairstyle, the width of the tie and the collars of the shirt I suspect it could be from the mid 50s.
Nice photo where two people love each other in complicated times for two people of the same sex to love each other. I hope they were very happy!
