Here is a great photograph from the Castro in the 1980s I believe. The image is one of many from DJ Mag which posted a great article this past January entitled, It Takes A Village, People: Preserving San Francisco’s Gay Disco History.
I dedicate this weekly post, featuring vintage gay photographs, to the men and women who lived in a more critical time where being true to yourself and loving who you want wasn’t always an option and came at a great price. Do you have a photo you would like to share? Email me at bosguymail@gmail.com.
OH MY GOD! What two beautiful specimens of the male gender that, inevitably, I adore and love from the first moment of seeing their photos inside those jeans that seem to have been put on at birth and have been growing at the same time as their owner sticking to those beautiful bodies as if they were their own skin.
I love them! ❤️❤️

I love how the two women are wearing coats, but the guys are shirtless. Sometimes you have to suffer to get what you want. We always used to hope that it would be warm for the gay pride parade, because otherwise all those scantily glad people would be freezing — because you know that they would be showing flesh regardless of how cold it was.
