This week’s brain teaser: A crime has been committed and the only clue the police have is the person who committed the crime is named John Smith. When the police arrive where he’s rumored to be hiding they find a dentist, a firefighter, a mechanic, and a chemist. Without asking any questions, the police arrest the mechanic. Why?

Come on guys, only a guy can be a mechanic, but a woman can be a firefighter? It’s the name on the coveralls. Got to be.

They arrested the black guy, because they could, even though he kept telling them his name was not John Smith.

The easy answer is because all of the others are women, The challenging answer is because he was the only white man in the group.

They were scared of the dentist? (Who isn’t?)
The police played poker every week with the firefighter-best buds?
No ideas why the chemist would escape suspicion…
