I have no idea what to make of this picture of a sailor feeding a young man in a loin cloth something called “Homo Milk”. I feel like this photogaph may have been better suited for a Caption This Photo post but here we are.
Does anyone have any information about when or where this may have been taken? I’m truly fascinated and curious.

Jerseymaid was a trademark and brand of Vons Supermarkets, which were popular in the Los Angeles area in the Fifties. “Homo” was short for homogenized. And the photo is probably from the Athletic Model Guild.
