Boy Culture: The Series

gay film

Boy Culture was originally released in the US in 2006

Earlier this week a friend and fellow blogger, Matthew Rettenmund, released a video promoting a new six-part series to boyculture.

Ten years later, the story picks up where it left off and will be told through six 15-minute stories, creating a feature-length, 90-minute story. Check out this video featuring Matthew (author) and Allan Brocka (director). If you like what you see you can learn more by visiting their kickstarter page: boyculture: the series.

Amy Schumer filming in South End on Monday

filming in the south endThose movie tax credits continue to pay dividends locally. Starting Monday, August 7th, Amy Schumer is set to start filming in the South End for her upcoming comedy, “I Feel Pretty”.  Residents have already received notices that the movie shoot will take over Tremont Street between Union Park and West Brookline Street (so if you’re driving avoid that section of Tremont). The production will also return to Boston on August 18th to film additional scenes at a store located on Union Park Street. My guess would be the new Walden Local Butcher shop that is yet to open and currently an empty space – ideal for a shoot (but that is only a guess).

“I Feel Pretty” is about a woman who starts acting extremely confident after suffering a head injury. Model Emily Ratajkowski and actress Michelle Williams, join Schumer in the movie that is expected to be released next summer.

Blade Runner 2049

Ryan Gosling, Harrison Ford, Science FictionOne of Sergio’s favorite movies is the 1982 science fiction thriller Blade Runner. This October (thirty-five years later) Blade Runner 2049 will come to movie theaters. The new movie will include Harrison Ford who starred in the original film as well as Ryan Gosling and a host of other stars.

Below is a new movie trailer that was released yesterday on YouTube:Blade Runner 2049: Thirty years after the events of the first film, a new blade runner, LAPD Officer K (Ryan Gosling), unearths a long-buried secret that has the potential to plunge what’s left of society into chaos. K’s discovery leads him on a quest to find Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford), a former LAPD blade runner who has been missing for 30 years.

Will you go see Blade Runner 2049?
