What a handsome couple. I love the intimacy captured as the two share a moment. I think the guy on the right has a knit tie which I believe were in fashion in the 1950s and happens to be when I think this photo may have been taken. Anyone able to date the photo based on their appearance?

I have no idea what is going on in this photo. I assume the photo dates back to the 1950s based on the pegged pants on the guy at the bottom of the photo and hairstyles, but I’d love to hear what you think. Thanks to @oldmasc for the photo.

I’ve posted the undoctored version of this photo this morning on my Twitter account, @BosGuy (and no you don’t need to have Twitter to see someone’s posts).

I swiped this photo from a tumblr site that posts a lot of vintage gay images. According to the post this is a photograph of two men outside of a gay club in Europe from the 1970s. Curious what ever happened to them and who’s beer that is off to the left. I do love this photo of the men embracing.

men of color, vintage men of color, black gay couple

I believe I’ve previously posted this photograph but it is so rare that I come across photos of men of color from years past I like to share them whenever I can. Based on their clothes, can anyone help identify when these two handsome men may have been photographed?

This looks like an intense make out session in progress. Who would’ve snapped such a photograph? I’d have been ticked for sure. Based on the radio on the desk and the hairstyles in the photo, I’m going to guess this was taken in the early 1980s. Can anyone help identify when this may have been taken?

Based on the television console and what I believe are speakers behind the blond with beautiful locks, I’d guess this was taken in the 1970s. Can anyone help identify when this may have been taken?

This week’s wonderful photo of Frank Rogers & Jack Lizak dates back to 1942. I swiped this image from Dan Keller who posted it on the Facebook group, Vintage Workingmen Beefcake.

Thanks to the printout atop the photo we can see this photograph was taken in March 1963 and based on their dress we can assume they are somewhere warm, which sounds pretty wonderful to me right about now. What do you think of this week’s photo?

Much thanks to Matthew Rettenmund who writes the boyculture blog for letting me know about DJMag.com article, It takes a village, people: preserving San Francisco’s gay disco history. It is a great article filled with many photos from that era that I encourage you to read or at a minimum visit and scroll through the images included in the article.

This came from the Vintage LGBTS tumblr account. The author indicated the photo was taken in the 1920s. Both men appear to be smooching a watch and the guy on the right has a wedding ring so maybe this was all in good fun, but either way it still makes a great photograph.

Nothing like ringing in the New Year with a smooch in a hot tub with someone special. Sadly that won’t be in the cards for me this year, but I’ll add it to my list of things to do in 2022. Unsure when or where this may have happened. It’s one of many photos published a few years ago from Gay Star News. And yes, I have the undoctored photo – it’s just a little too hot to post here, but I’m happy to share it.

I’m reposting this Christmas photo initially shared by Jeffrey Gent on his homo history blog which is largely defunct now. Jeffrey now posts fairly regularly on his account on Tik Tok.

Check out this cute couple hugging in front of a butcher shop. Anyone have a clue when this photo of a canoodling couple may have been taken? I’m guessing post war, late 1940s or 50s based on the car and dress.
