Oy vey

In two weeks I will board a cruise ship for the first time.  While I’m happy to be getting away and I’m not the least bit nervous, seeing images of this luxury cruise ship run aground off the coast of Italy is a bit much to take.  My thoughts are with those who have friends and family missing, but I’m embarrassed to admit my initial response when I booted up and saw this image was “Oy vey”.

  1. Your upcoming trip will be ok. Remember when we have an air crash for example…people continue to fly anyhow. When all is said and done…your day is coming whenever it is coming even if you don’t go on a trip.
You’ve heard about the Indiana basketball team all died in a plane crash and one of the players missed it only to be killed the next day in an auto accident. Is it fate? Coincidences? who cares, live life as if there is no tomorrow anyhow.
That is coming from an old man that has lived a lot but wishes he had done even more.

just make sure you UNDERSTAND the LIFEBOAT procedures given on your 1st day on board!!!!

Always know where your lifeboats station is from where you are on the ship, at ALL TIMES.

You’ll have a GREAT TIME, this was an isolated incident.

  6. Even for someone who knows little about design I can tell you by looking at it that it is top heavy for sure. The first law of navigation is that you must have a submerged surface body equal to that which is not in the water.
    I’m just sayin’
