I’m writing a quick post to thank everyone who has reached out to check in on me and to let you know while I’m safe, I’m also incredibly angry at this attack and want to express my thanks to Boston’s first responders. I was approximately two blocks from the Boston Marathon finish line when the first explosion took place and was blissfully unaware (initially).
In a matter of minutes, scores of ambulances, fire trucks, police and special forces had shut down the entire area and where I was (Huntington Avenue) was closed in both directions to ensure victims could be swiftly picked up and ushered to hospitals.
Thoughts and prayers for all impacted and hope this is where the story ends.

That’s ok. I noted the Green Line Stations on Copley this morning were locked tight. I figured it would have been bad form to get my lock pick kit out though.
So I turned around and came back home. Let the folks in the office know. I’m sort of glad I did though. I hear the Green Line is now shut down which would have made getting home very interesting.
