Bravo! Today France joined the right side of history by legalizing gay marriage. The debate in France has been particularly ugly including nasty debates and protests that flooded the streets of Paris, but the French Socialist-majority Assembly, passed the bill 331-225.

my friend who works for the Mayor of Nice says the local bars broke out the champagne but there was no couples who applied for license for the civil ceremony. There were not a lot of protesters like Paris as its all about le touriste.
