HBO’s newest series, Looking, may make Sunday nights a lot more interesting. Two weeks from tonight at 10:30 pm on January 19th Looking will premiere on HBO. According to the series website, Looking, offers the unfiltered experiences of three close friends living in modern-day San Francisco. The trio’s stories intertwine and unspool dramatically as they search for happiness and intimacy.
I find myself drawn to gay-themed movies and stories and hope that HBO’s track record for making entertaining hit series extends to Looking. I’ll definitely be tuning in on the 19th.

Thanks for the heads-up, Rob! I am intrigued by the show already! I haven’t really followed a cable series since HBO’s ‘Sex and the City’ and ‘Six Feet Under’ …so would really, really like to find something that I can immerse myself in weekly! This may be it! I will be watching on the 19th, too! (Any other good weekly shows you can recommend?)

I love Graham Norton on BBC America but I have no other suggestions on what dramas are hot. 😦 Hope all is good with you.

Word on the street has it that this will do for San Francisco what Sex & The City did for New York. The cities are as much a focus of the show as the characters. Stay tuned…to HBO

Like you, I’m hoping that HBO’s good track record with original series will extend to this one. It would be a real shame if it turned out like the American version of Queer As Folk. I’ll be tuning in to see.
